AUPHIN ISLAND, Ala. (WALA) – The U. S. Coast Guard says five people have been rescued from the water after their boat sank south of Dauphin Island this Memorial Day Weekend.
The Coast Guard says a Coast Guard boat crew from Station Dauphin Island made the rescue.
Officials say the boat sank approximately 17 miles south of Dauphin Island.
Coast Guard officials say a personal locator beacon and life jackets made it a quick and easy search and rescue case.
