Three boaters rescued from sinking boat near Pascagoula

Three boaters are safe in Bayou La Batre this morning, after being rescued by the US Coast Guard.
The drama began 11 miles southeast of Pascagoula in the Gulf of Mexico.
Just after 8 Monday morning, rescue crews went into action after receiving a distress beacon signal. From the 50 foot fishing vessel “Dat Parker.
The owner’s wife told the Coast Guard she couldn’t get them on the boat’s radio.
When they arrived, they quickly saw why.
The boat had begun to sink, and one crew member was in a life raft, while two others were still on the bow.
But all three are ok this morning.
No word on what caused the boat to sink.
